Cutting Edge Live Electro & House Music at its best, The Festival Mad Southern Quartet (Tha London Undaground) have pioneered a new party sound hammering together the modern sound of digital with that old skool feel of analogue instruments, put together with their totally organic chord progressions,leads and licks & fronted up by the vocals of Jimmy Disco. The group have totally thrown the rule book out the window when it comes to arrangement also and this is ultimately what has given the stamp Original to this band.
With their £5 pound haircuts, £1 sunglasses and dodgy dance moves, they have not only made an impact on the electro scene, but are already encroaching onto the fast growing electro Swing scene witch is tipped to explode in 2011. Ground breaking sound is what this band is all about.
The group had a busy and exciting year in 2010 having scooped The Best
Dance Track 2010 _ the Exposure Music Awards with the track Voices they
also supported acts such as Groove Armada & Skunk Anansie, as well as
appearing in various newspapers and on local radio stations they have also recorded their debut album witch is yet to be released.
Not far into 2011 the group will find it hard to compete with the year they have
just had, but are hard on the heels of doing even more this year already having supported Primal Scream and (New Orders/ Joy Divisions) Peter Hook & The lights who knows what else the year has in store for the group, the story continues into 2011 and beyond.......
